    Oh no.

    Lilith is wonderfully manipulative, with all her words of support and encouragement until she decides she can't manipulate Charlie into doing what she wants, at which point she pushes her will through by force. I wonder how much of her story about her absence was true or false, to what extent she's been manipulating events (and picking up information) through Alastor. She didn't know Lucifer was in contact (unless she's a very good actor) so there's probably some sort of incomplete information exchange going on. Really hoping that she's underestimated the hotel residents when making her plans, whatever they are.

    Charlie! So happy to see her mother, so quick to move to sympathy and concern. And so shocked at the betrayal she had no way to see coming. I foresee some heavy emotions as she comes to terms with what just happened, at least Lucifer was honest about not believing in her dream, and willing to be convinced otherwise with a bit of work.

    At least she has the chance to find out what happened to Alastor, even if being stuck in the same dark pit with him is far from ideal. Sticking the two of them together seems like an odd choice on Lilith's side, makes me question if she's using Al to further manipulate Charlie or if they're finding each other against her expectations.

    Have loved all of your Hazbin fics so far but not had the spoons to comment. Looking forward to seeing where this goes.

      Hey Bookwyrmie! I saw your kudos on the other Hazbin fics and appreciated them :) Nice to see you over in this fandom too!

      All we know for certain is that Lilith was in Heaven and did have contact with Adam and Lute, because we see that in the S1 finale at the very end. And that's us, the audience. These guys don't know any of it. She's definitely up to something, though.

      Oh you are 100% right. There will be some Very Big Very Heavy Emotions down the line. Charlie has a lot to come to terms with. Especially that her parents are kind of the opposite of everything she ever thought of them, apparently. Complicated!

      Alastor as a companion definitely is a weird choice, but we'll see more about that in the coming chapters :)
