    I’m so happy to hear you’ve been thinking about the breeds for everyone! I hope they all at least seem reasonable, but I have such little dog knowledge that I just went with what felt right to me. I’d love to know if there are any (now or in the future) that you think could’ve been different!

    I ended up with a corgi for Agnea because of how energetic and bright they are. I loved the idea of Peaches all dressed up because Agnea can’t stop making outfits for her. And imagining a corgi spinning around to dance was just too cute.

    I never heard of a bichon frise, so thanks for giving me an excuse to scroll through adorable dog pictures 😂 Honestly would’ve also been a great choice if I knew they existed! I’m sure people with a lot of dog knowledge could come up with beautifully symbolic breeds that match each owner super well. But here I am, flying by the seat of my pants.

    Yeah, I realized halfway through writing this whole thing that many of the dogs end up with food names…there’s just one more, I promise! (Though they do make such cute names!) It’s funny because Ort’s dog was one of the last dogs to be named when I came up with this idea, and I wanted something that was one of those cool sounding dog names. I’m glad you think it’s badass 😂

    One of the big themes of this fic is the parallels between Temenos and Crick, so I’m glad it’s noticeable 😝. Both have so much going on in their lives in very different ways and have found their own ways of dealing with it (hence why they clash so much).

    Hilariously, the snub command was one of the first scenes I wrote for this fic. I have no idea why, I just really wanted to play up prissy Temenos and his little dog.

    I honestly never thought about whether he gave the pet cup to her! Perhaps he was so annoyed that he crushed it by accident, or maybe he noticed Sugarcube looking at it longingly and decided to just give in? That’s for you to decide 😂
