I don't understand why you wrote this story as if the Common Tongue was a completely different language and not just literally modern English with some ASOIAF-centric words thrown into it.
My opinion:
For realistic way, the mcu and game of thrones lives in a different universe, meaning different culture and tongue language. The only thing why we can understand them is because it's a show but realistic wise, its highly unlikely

I also find it hard to believe Steve started speaking the Common Tongue at a conversational level in just a couple of days. Learning a language is usually way more difficult.
The answer:
One of the things that the super soldier serum enhanced is Steve Rogers overall intelligence. One of the evidence there is how he can calculate how much force and the position to throw his shield and catch it back like the relationship of thor and his hammer. Meaning learning a new language is just a child play to him.
