    And yay! Roi is fully revealed and gets some time with Temenos. How sweet of him to bring Roi groceries, even when he doesn't really have the strength to do it. And sweet, but also a little sad how fiercely he wants to be the only one taking care of Roi 🥺 Aside from Bagel, of course. Makes me wonder if someone was helping Roi is the past and no longer does, or if Temenos thinks he was neglectful towards Roi before...?

    Though he seems to be starting to let his guard down around Crick. Imagining Crick helping Roi... maybe Temenos will come to Roi's apartment later to find Crick has helping him XD Though he's coming around to the idea of letting Crick into his life and the people important to him. You're getting there, Temmy!

    Good old Osvald, being as no-nonsense as ever XD Ever the scholar, hitting Temenos with the Baader-Meinhof Phenomenon with how he feels about Crick. And his little aside, “I was never this pathetic with Rita…” lollll Oh, Temenos, so obvious. I love how Crick and Max have even won over little Elena. You really can't escape him Temenos, just give in.

    Though he does! Or seems to... Or is up to something. It's fun seeing Crick thrown off balance by Temenos for a different reason. He's so cute with the kids! I love how he plays around with them, forgetting parts of the story or sneaking in little kid-friendly asides. And thoroughly in his element by teasing Crick. Your description is so cute "like someone had taken the old Temenos, dipped him in sugar, and replaced him with a sweeter, sharper version—playful, teasing, yet somehow… softer, too" 🥹 It's nice that Crick gets to see some of Temenos' friendlier side. I do wonder what he's up to, though.

    And last but definitely not least, Osvald's doggie! For his dog I had two competing ideas: a gigantic breed like a St. Bernard or a Bernese Mountain Dog, or something extremely tiny as a funny contrast (maybe Elena's choice?) like a chiweenie or a maltipoo. I see you also went with the former! It fits him well, and I love Byron's role as a secondary Osvald. Her very own guard dog. A great name too, very academic. Only 2 left of the travelers, I'm excited to see what they get 👀

    And excited for more Roi and even more excited for progressssss \o/ Crick and Temenos are both getting there, maybe not quite at the same pace haha but I'm glad they've had a nice little conversation 😊❤️

      Ort and Roi may be a background ship, but it’s still happening. Hopefully they’re not as hopeless as Temenos and Crick… 😂

      I loved writing that grocery scene. Since we don’t get a lot of canon Roi, I wanted a scene of the two brothers together so that I could really feel the similarities and differences between them. Canon Roi probably isn’t as sassy but I want them to have that relationship so I say he is 😤 (but he’s still soft and gentle too though, so I think it’s close enough 🙂‍↕️). There’s still more Roi yet to come, so we’ll continue to hear about the past circumstances…

      Because I had the Roi section I was worried that Osvald wouldn’t shine through as much, but I liked how his part turned out. He’s not super like ‘let’s talk about our emotions.’ He’s more like ‘I’m going to point things out and you figure it out.’ Guess that’s just the professor side of him.

      If it wasn’t obvious, the travelers have definitely been talking about Crick in a group chat without Temenos. Crick’s won most of them over without even meeting some of them (and Osvald already likes him since he plays with Elena). Has he won Temenos over too? Kinda-sorta. He just needs a little push to solidify how much he likes Crick. Which is why I’m super excited for the next chapter because it’s utterly ridiculous while still somehow solving this issue 😂

      The tiny dog would have been hilarious, but I kind of wanted to keep Sugarcube as the teeny little princess. So instead I did go with big Osvald = big dog. Maybe Elena will get her own dog beyond the fic future 😝

      For some weird reason I wrote this line way before this chapter and was looking for an excuse to use it. Maybe it’s cause I was dipping stuff in a chocolate fountain or something—I can’t remember. All I know is I thought the image of Temenos being dipped in a jar of sugar was funny. 😂
