    solution: do the coup during the funeral // really cool idea but unfortunately I won’t do that because Metis doesn’t want to risk something happening to Athena’s body if something goes wrong (she’s still grieving ok) + they have to do a little more planning & stuff

    i love this friendship. Just 2 queens chilling with their bad emotions // Thanks! I haven’t seen anyone else write Aphrodite & Metis being friends (probably because Metis isn’t written about a lot + there’s no actual source for them being friends and it’s just my headcanon) but I love them because I think that, if Aphrodite was “born” during Kronos’ reign (which is another one of my hcs, that she was “born” sometime during the last 10-20 years before the prophecy that Kronos’ children would usurp him and he began eating them), she should have a past! So I’m writing that! (Twas the power of writing your own fanfiction: writing what others won’t and it being exactly what you want)

    absolutely love that Metis gave Athena her curiosity and I want them to meet so badly! // Thanks! I’m sure this is clear but I hc that Metis passed on a lot of traits to Athena cuz I love seeing that. They will meet! (A bit later but they will! That opportunity for hurt/comfort is too good for me to pass up on)

    Metis please don’t go crazy from grief/revenge and do something rash // she’s trying her best but the only thing keeping her tethered is the love for her daughter (that’s strong tho so dw, she won’t go crazy (probably))

    I know I always say that I love mom!Hera but Mama Metis has a special place in my heart. She loves her baby despite never actually meeting. My heart ahhhhh 💔 // we love both of them but yeah, I tried to make this be as adorable as I could because Metis loves Athena with her whole heart and you can’t pry that idea out of my cold dead hands cause my spirit will kick you

    oh crap I forgot about the rotting body part // yeah… (look, idk much about how bodies work but ik that they begin rotting some time after death so that’s enough)

        right there with you. Athena deserves at least one good parent // she’ll have good parents dw (Metis & Hera will co-parent her and Triton will be like the fun uncle because we cannot forget he did raise her for a good while)
