Comment on Emerald Dawn

  1. Kontross doesn't seem to take into account that Krypton was destroyed though, so of course Kara would travel to another world. Plus, Kara's been Supergirl for how long now? I would think that would have given the Guardians enough time to determine if she can be trusted or not.

If anything, it would make more sense for them NOT to believe Kara's a threat but are simply testing Lena to see if she's capable of apprehending Kara and if she'll bring in someone she considers a friend.

I mean, the fact that Kara's Supergirl can't really be much of a surprise to Lena. She hinted to Clark in their meeting that she knows he's Superman, so she probably suspected from the start that Kara's Supergirl, suspicions that only get stronger each time she meets with her (even without bringing into account Kara's slip ups like "I flew here on a bus").

Kara's been Supergirl for a bit more than a year, but given how big a space sector is, it'd take quite a while for someone who considered it an issue to actually bring that information back to the Guardians. They monitor the whole universe, that's a lot of information to sift through; urgent things they can respond to quickly, but otherwise... (Especially in comics canon if there are only one or two Lanterns for 1/3600th of the entire universe). As for the rest, like I said, this is just the first chapter, any story where every question gets brought up and answered in chapter one has a poor plot and worse pacing if it just begins with an exposition dump.
As for Lena, there's a difference between suspecting and having it confirmed, but I don't see why you're now objecting to scenes that haven't even happened yet. if you don't like the concept of the story, don't read it.
