    OH. MY. GOD!!!!!!
    The hat with the not really fake horns. The Condesce's letter. And the absolute gutpunch that is the realisation that Gamzee wasn't aware of acting, holy shit. And oh my god, Karkat getting properly pale'd for the first time. Also, Terezi's painful contract-cancelling!! And Meenah, so great! And most of all, the absolutely most brilliant feelings scene ever, holy shit, it was like physical pain when they got broken up for the scene change. This is not the first fic that made me believe that pale pornography could work, but it's the one that makes me wish desperately for it to be a huge industry, so that maybe someone someday would write another fic as beautiful, amazing, viscerally touching as this one. Though I'm not sure this fic could be rivalled even then. So. Amazing. "Stars and Diamonds" is really the perfect title, because that's what it felt like, a freaking brilliant pale explosion of stars and diamonds in my heart.

      Ahh yes, the big reveal of Gamzee's complete inability to understand the concept of acting. =u= Poor dear. Quite a terrible shock. It's just lucky he ended up realizing it in the presence of someone who could show him what a real moirail is like, eh? Ehhhh??? ;D ;D ;D

      I would love to watch/read/purchase pale porn, ugh I would like that so much. TuT But in the meantime I'll just have to sit around and write people shooshing and papping and hugging and stroking hair and doing hornrubs and all that other good shit, mmmm-mm. ~u~

      I'm glad you enjoyed it so much! :D I titled it Diamonds and Stars because there's all sorts of ways you can read that--stars as in movie stars, diamonds that shine as bright as stars, etc. etc. etc. And besides, it just felt right. ;) I'm glad you found an interpretation that worked for you!
