No worries about the characters: I think you are doing a wonderful job portraying their nuances and reactions! I always got the impression that Lucretia and Crixus are two very private people when it comes to discolsing their truest emotions, especially when other people are involved and I think you managed to portray this public/private difference very well!:D
Do you think that we will see flashbacks or memories of either character that fill some of the five years gap and could bring us snippets of how their initial relationship started to change and blossom? It would be a wonderful thing to see!:D Sorry if I am being nosy! It is by no means something you have to do or anything!:):) I was just thinking that, if it were to happen, I would love every second of it!:D

I thought about it and wasn't sure if I wanted to incorporate that into the story or not. I was thinking more of a separate story with maybe like three lengthy chapters detailing how everything came to be. What do you think? Oh, you aren't being nosy at all! Awww, thank you! I wanted to show how different they are with each other than when they are around other people. I wanted their guards to be all the way down with each other. There is, what I believe to be, a very sweet moment between them in the next chapter. I had fun writing the entire scene and can't wait to share it with you and anyone else who is enjoying the story! I'm glad you picked up on that. She can vent to Quintus to a certain extent but she cannot say everything on her mind like she can with Crixus.
Oh yes. There is plenty of smut to come. lol. How can there not be with these two?
