Comment on Le Conte de Café

  1. I love the lore of fairies, the stuff about passage ways, iron and their concerns over manipulating him with glamour and dance is fascinating.

    1. I'm so glad! Fairy lore is amazing. The iron is one of my favourite bits, I was always going to put that in (but my sister gave me the idea to make it about kitchen knives). And dancing is a staple of every fairy story, it had to make it in there, really (even though, once again, my sister reminded me that it should, what would I do without her?). But the stuff about passage ways and threshholds was suggested to me by a friend! I was familiar with the lore, but I had never thought to put it in if she hadn't mentioned it. But it's very true. In fairy tales you should always be mindful of open doors, open windows, mirrors and crossroads ;)

      1. It would probably disappoint you that I only knew the mirror one from the Dresden files, those books have a lot of fairy lore in them as well as being my main source for wizard and (not kinky) vampires.
