  1. Thank you, for using your limited access and time to read these silly ideas that I sometimes post. I am so happy you liked this piece, with its unusual style - it grew on me though, I think I'll revisit it if the mood fits.

    I'm curious as to what you expected, if it was something different. I must admit that I love the ending to this; I love the idea of a final mortality in the MCU, and how it works for each character and affects relationships of those who live on for one reason or another.

    You can't have a story about Natasha and the Winter Soldier without seeing Steve in the shadows, could you? Well, I suppose one certainly could, but it wouldn't be near as fun to write. The dichotomy of pre-Russia and post-Winter Soldier is such an interesting look at James, it's not quite a dual identity with similar threads shot through of loyalty and hard work and never giving in.
