I followed a rec to the version of this fic on whofic.com, and I loved it so much I went and googled to find it here so I could leave a comment saying so. Your Susan is marvelous, sharp-edged and grieving and kind and complicated, deeply changed but still herself. And I love the idea of her shooting a vortisaur with Robin Hood's bow and arrows, and the whole plot device that leads her to meet the Doctor in the first place -- and then the open-eyed decision when she decides to stop hiding from herself and go with him, oh, yes. And the prospect of her as a companion is a marvelous one!
...And apparently I not only read it in 2010 but commented and bookmarked it, and then forgot so totally that it was a fresh read this time. Oops. Well, thank you for a delightful fic twice around, then!
