      right?? like where did i even get the idea he's 5'10" from??? and why am i so happy he's a much shorter little bean of a guy??? haha

      but yeah, he has good reason for being suspicious of the Bait. i mean, ignis doesn't really know him yet. doesn't really have attachments to him. admitting to his shit now would just amount in a lot more hoops to jump through to remain noct's friend. :(

      don't we all love prompto's skewed sense of worthiness?? it's so painful. and yes, the aversion to touch thing! thats why he pulled away so fast in the last chapter, lowkey. good catch ;) thank you so much for reading as always, you're the best <3

        lol at least it's only two inches? 5'8 is still tall to me, even if it's more about average in general.

        seriously :c i dont know wha tthe health care system is like in insomnia, but clearly there's still stigma and prompto has enough internalized stuff (and trauma. whoops) to be very wary of disclosing anything, especially since even somethig unrelated could lead back to his ED. and yeah it could put a real obstacle to being noct's friend, possibly being a "bad influence" (ugh) and ignis isn't really trustworthy in prompto's eyes yet, but rather another authority figure to impress. ahhh its so sad.

        we sure do :,) fandom sure loves prompto's pain, but i think thats bc he's the most "normal" and relatable to a lot of people. i really do love this fic and how it doesn't pull punches with how debilitating ED can be, and how that sheds canon in a different light.

        aha so i did! especially since it was a surprise, that'd make it more startling, even if prompto probably was happy about it afterwards. aw thanks! you're a really great writer ad i love reading your fic!

          yes yes yes, you've got it exactly. so many factors prevent prompto from seeking help, not that he'd be able to admit he even needed it :'( kid's got a long way to go.

            this is true! he looks smaller and cuter by comparison to ignis and gladio. especially gladio lmao. i dont remember all their heights but yeah.

            im glad i caught it then! its very rewarding to know, and i imagine it's rewarding to find out as an author. poor kid, it's gonna be more hardship for a while... but then, the first step of recovery is being ready for recovery, imo. it can be a huge first step and he's clearly not mentally prepared yet.

            i really enjoy our chats! :D and this fic of course.

              yeah, even getting anywhere near recovery is going to be a long long process :< kid's gonna have to hit rock bottom before he feels the need to claw his way out of it. thank you so much! i enjoy them as well :))

                Rock bottom is right... but I'm enjoying every step of the way, even if it's painful. especially since it's painful, and real. even though it's nothing like my own experience, it's kind of cathartic to read. i just want to help this kid so much.
