Comment on The (Mis)Adventures of the Philadelphia LGBT Club

  1. YAY UPDATE!!! Honestly I've been waiting for this since Wednesday lol, and now it has arrived! Thank you for writing this, it's gr8.

Dickinson is interesting because he's so clearly an antagonist, but I still love him so much. Probably because his wardrobe is amazing and he's canonically a smartass on Ben Franklin's level (Speaking of Franklin, is he going to be in here?). Anyway, the line "I begrudgingly tolerate your existence" is super in character, so good job on that. Really, all your characterization is pretty good.

"I was not staring . . . I was zoning out. He happened to be in the way." Same, Neddy. Same.

And then Rutledge shows him around, like a true Southern gentleman, and they're complete dorks about it. Also, "We play Dungeons and Dragons sometimes" oHMIGOD. Like, all of them would be such shitty D&D players, but I can still somehow imagine them doing it.

" 'Yes. Hello,' Hall said nervously, missing the safety of the coffee machine" if that ain't a fuckign mood

McKean and his beloved gun will never cease to be hilarious, as well as the fact that there are two Thomases. And four Johns. FOUR FUCKING JOHNS, I mean, HOW DOES THAT EVEN HAPPEN? How do they make it clear which John they're addressing??? (As you can see, I never go off on irrelevant tangents regarding the absurdly common names of these characters. Nope. Not me.)

Rutledge actually being terrible at flirting is the best. Well, they're both terrible.

If you don't mind my asking, what exactly is this fic going to be about? Is the focus going to change in the next few chapters? And what is Abigail's relationship with John (John Adams, not the THREE OTHER JOHNS THAT SOMEHOW EXIST)?

This chapter was awesome; thank you for posting it.

Honestly, I look forward to your responses as much as you look forward to updates, lol. And unfortunately, due to my weird writing, Abigail and John Adams don't really come into the limelight until chapter 7 :( sorry!! AND THE DND CLUB IS TERRIBLE AT D&D LET ME TELL YA. Thank you so much for your responses!!!
