Comment on X-Generation: Part I: Dreams and Deals

  1. So many horrible moments....

Jean's letter, how can she step away from the most important social issue of her lifetime... and who does so in a letter... but is it even real?

Trish, confusing neutrality and objectivity... objectively, everyone deserves human rights. In her misguided attempt to be neutral, she's just giving a platform to hate rhetoric. Why would she force herself to do so?

Emma and Selene, thinking it's okay if parts of the world burn, as long as they get ahead, and what for? They've already got luxury galore.

Creepy Raven, imprisoned and tortured Irene, Wanda and Rogue suffering the sins of their fathers...

And worst of all are all the parallels one can make to our time. Sigh.
    Thanks for sharing your art.

    1. One thing when I wrote this story that I didn't love in retrospect was Jean Grey's non-active role in the story. When I semi-rebooted it for the (temporarily stalled) Rise of the Mutants series, I made her more active.

Trish didn't exactly choose to have Creed on the show. That was from higher-ups. But she could and probably should push back harder.

      Hellfire's gonna Hellfire. :D

Yeah, sadly, a lot of the most distressing stuff is weirdly relevant today.
