Comment on Held Together by Werewolf Hugs

  1. Oh, you're welcome! I was interested in reading this one from the way you talked about it in the zombie werewolf thread and I actually really like the short chapters model for a story like this.

That's for sure, it was soooo good to get home and just sleep in my own bed last night! Well, R&R will have to wait until the end of the month for a proper week of recharging; I had reports to write and phone calls to make today, so I'm still kinda working :(

No, I wouldn't say it ruined my mood, just that it was an unexpected flashback and actually made the scene with Nolan's reactions a lot more understandable. It was easier to picture even though it was very close to the canon and that was a particularly vivid death scene anyway.

Haha, I did have an idea for a chimera that was designed to be an exclusive support unit; like a medic that could heal people with a single touch and hold, but it seemed a bit over-powered. This was in BBC and with the Overmind already having the ability to heal nearby chimeras (or accelerate their healing) it seemed obsolete. But I'd still be interested in exploring a story where a werewolf developed an extremely potent pain taking and life restoring ability; it might be an interesting Brett/? story...

Omg, I love that idea! I can totally see Iron Claws Aiden dropping it, or a partially reformed Theo just saying it casually to them. I can also see someone like Corey mumbling "Most of us just want to sink into the floor when that happens!" At least he'd be able to, lol. But it's a relatable reaction, haha, even if most of the time when it happens to me, I'm just like "Why doesn't life have a reset button?!"

I think that's a really important realization for Nolan to have. It helps push him even more away from this radicalist path he was travelling down. Especially since he's one of the more public faces of that radical Humans First! ideology that Monroe was banging her drum about.

Yeah, that's a good way to describe it, Gabe certainly was the right material for a footsoldier and he really did embrace his dark side in those final few episodes. Question: is the fact that he shot up the McCall house in Nolan's name going to come up at all or is Nolan going to keep that one to himself? Considering he blurted out that Gabe was the top within an hour of Liam taking him home, that seems unlikely!

Oh, yeah, but it really did feel realistic. I'm sure the sensation is relatable no matter what you do, but I always get this strange feeling of emptiness whenever I come home after we've completed an operation-successful or not-and just sort of sit around and either play a video game, or watch the news and just try and adjust to the fact I'm not in that intense situation anymore. And since we rarely get to see the immediate aftermath of those finale scenes in TV shows, this really worked perfectly.
