Comment on Held Together by Werewolf Hugs

  1. I can understand that, a change in how you normally write can always be an interesting challenge and I do think that it was a very effective and almost cinematic way of describing the scene. I definitely think that Nolan would be someone quite susceptable to delusions or mental breaks given what he's experienced and the traumas he's suffered.

Sure, I mean, well, there is only one response to the idea that werewolves are all monsters: "Only a Sith deals in absolutes!" If Nolan was surrounded by individuals who constantly told him that monsters are evil and the "monsters" attack him and cut Gabe's face (hem, hem, Liam in the locker room) of course you're going to think they're monsters! There are definitely those types of extremist thoughts and ideologies in parts of BBC, and I'll be very interested to see what you think of them in the context of the backstory you've created for Nolan.

Liam still manages to retain that innocence, that's true, and certainly you can see it in the fact he returned Theo despite everyone telling him it was a bad idea. Even after Brett died, he was able to bounce bad pretty fast and still have that bright eyed and busy tailed approach to their problems.

From how they pronounced it, I thought for sure it was "Anuke-Ite" with an "e" at the "Anuk" part, but yeah, that's the spelling I've seen too. Only of my many 6B ideas is "Venture Through to the Other Side" which would basically be the Anuk-Ite's perspective where it's not a monster, but a traveller, searching and curious, slipping through phases in the same way Corey does, though its power is vastly different. It could be an exploration of a chaotic new world compared to its old one, the creature staying invisible until emerging, copying someone that it has observed the humans calling attractive, and then bumping into the pack. Not a spirit of fear, but of curiousity. That would turn things on their head, lol, but I like those "fish out of water" stories!

Oh, I can see why it'd be a favorite and I can really see Nolan doing it too! But super, skin-crawling-ily creepy!
