So, as usual, this is not the first time i've read this, though it seems i wasnt kind enough to leave even a kudos last time. Though, seriously dude, your fics are a series of firsts for me. My first Ciam fic, my first Dunway/Liolan fic... what are you going to write next that will be a first for me? Any way, on to the actual chapter. I loved how your getting into Nolan's head, showing us what hes thinking and how he really is a scatterbrain already. And then the whole thing of him feeling weak and useless around Liam because he's crying of all things. Like, he just lost his boyfriend, it's completely justifiable for him to want to cry over him dying. Though i also see that Liam still holds a grudge against Gabe, though i cant blame him at all for that. Gabe was something of an asshole in canon. But Liam is also trying to see past that so he can empathise with Nolan, even if it means humanising someone who, in Liam's eyes, is the monster. I also loved how cuddly Liam is with Nolan already. I love your cuddle wolf Liam, he's just so affectionate and sweet. Even when it comes to Nolan, who has actively tried to kill him in the past, he's still being as cuddly and helpful as he can. I really love that about Liam. What else can i say? I feel really sorry for Nolan. From what i remember from the first time i read this, Nolans dad is an asshole, and you already said he has no friends, so he is a bit of a loner. I do have to ask, does this have anything to do with the Gabe/Nolan fic you wrote, where Gabe is only using Nolan for the sex? Or is that an entirely separate thing? Cause, as much as i havent read it, i feel like that might tie in well to this. I might have to read it now just so i know what actually happens in it. Any way, an amazing first chapter, and i seriously cannot wait to read the rest.

Oh wow, I'm flattered that I could have your first Ciam and Dunway fics! I love some less common pairings so perhaps that's why. Haha, speaking of which, maybe the eventual Corey/Nolan relationship in my upcoming zombie fic will be another first? :P
I felt like in canon that Nolan had a kind of vulnerable instability to him, so I very much took that concept and ran with it for this fic. I think he was doing okay for awhile, but then the events of 6B happened and I think it really threw him into a tailspin.
Yeah, I didn't think Liam would be ready to completely let Gabe off the hook, but at the same time, like you said, he very much wants to empathize with Nolan and be there for him, and that does mean humanizing Gabe somewhat.
Dawww thanks! I'm pretty fond of Cuddlewolf Liam! I'd really love to bring Nolan into the Cuddlewolf series actually. I could see Liam maybe picking up on the fact that he's in a fragile place and getting through to him before he gets mixed up with Monroe and the hunters. But it would mean advancing the timeline in the Cuddlewolf series, which I kinda don't want to do, so I may perhaps just do a different AU at some point that's separate from my other stories.

Ohhh, that's a really good question and the spirit of the interpretation of both characters in both stories has a lot of similarities, but they are separate. The timeline doesn't quite work for that fic to serve as a sort of prequel to this one. In this story world they only got together and started hooking up fairly recently, whereas in "Gabe's Pleasure" things started between the sooner and they had sex many more times than in this story world. I think Gabe himself is a little different too. In the smut fic, he's not just using Nolan with a casual, selfish disregard; it's more that that's outright a major part of the turn on for him, and he's intentionally using him and playing mind/power games with him. I think in this story world he's more just...selfish and insensitive, but I don't think it's outright a turn on for him.
I'm so glad i could make you so excited when you saw these. It makes me happy to know that your happy. I will admit, i never considered Nolan/Corey before... but i suppose theres a first for everything (plus, three times the charm) But i will certainly look forward to reading it. I do remember Froy stating that he connected with Nolan on a lot of levels, because he was insecure, had serious anxiety issues and some other things.So i can certainly see where you got the inspo for it from. I would love to see Nolan as a part of the Cuddlewolf series, but you could always just state that Liam noticed something about how Gabe always seemed wary around him and Scott and that at school. Unless of course it's during break, and that would require the timeline to be moved forward, and then i can understand why you wouldnt want to do that. (I will admit, i just figured that in between each chapter, they were going to school and working and other stuff, and each chapter was a tiny snapshot in the lives of the pack). Ah, i see what you mean. I... might give Gabe's pleasure a pass than. No offense to you and your incredible writing style, but... i just dont feel comfortable reading it. If it did tie in to this, i would read it. But since it doesnt... yeah, sorry about that. (It's the same with you holiday series with Corey/Liam and Theo/Mason. You mentioned you were thinking of having Liam and Corey have a threesome with a woman, and while i wouldnt feel entirely comfortable reading it, i would because it ties into that series. Where as i wont touch the Briam + unnamed female because...it's a standalone)
