I'm sorry you feel that way. Valkyrie is bisexual (though not in canon as such, because that gives canon too much credit and word of god is different from canon) - which does mean she is also attracted to girls. I've never hidden the fact that I write my characters as majority queer, and that means giving them queer relationships. You don't have to like it. But don't tell me how to write, and don't act like there's some kind of crime in writing a "everyone is in gay relationships" universe.

Especially because yeah, at least three main characters in this universe are explicitly identified as bisexual (Loki, Steve, and Val) and I personally headcanon a number of others that way (including Bucky and Sam, actually). So actually - yeah, this is and always kind of has been an "everyone is queer" universe. Emphasis on queer. Because no, they're not all gay - and just as someone bi being in a relationship that looks straight doesn't make them straight, someone bi being in a relationship that looks gay doesn't make them gay. Honestly, it's just a liiiiittle bi erasure to say otherwise.

Speaking, just to be clear, as a bisexual person in a same-gender relationship.

You're welcome to not like it. In the future, though, please keep your opinions to yourself.

Actually, it occurs to me you're not even talking about "gay" per se, you're just objecting to there being more than one queer relationship in this series full stop, in which case I take back the bit about your being welcome to not like it, because that's some hot homophobic nonsense.

        1. I couldn’t scroll past this reply of pure *ignorance* and not reply.

It’s clear that you’ve realized that you can’t stand up against the eloquence of Lise, nor her sound reasoning, so you’re just trying to make excuses for yourself.

Firstly, it’s not a matter of “positive response” or not to one’s work. This is a matter of standing up against clear prejudice that some, such as you, so obviously express under the guise of your “opinion”. You may be personally opposed to the portrayal queer characters, but people have the right to queer representation in media and creative work.

Secondly, someone else’s headcanon has no obligation whatsoever to comply with your own. While you have the right to dislike or disagree with others’ headcanons, you have no right to suggest that another’s IDEAS are wrong.

Thirdly, if you’ve ever had a successful, peaceable disagreeement with anyone, you should know that nothing is solved by trying to tell someone that they’re WRONG in the way they inherently think or work. That isn’t going to “change their mind”, not one bit- all that will accomplish is offend and antagonize others.

You can respond with whatever you like, but it won’t make one difference to what you’ve expressed.

It doesn’t matter what language you’re speaking in. Prejudice is prejudice, and it’s necessary to own up to it rather than hiding behind excuses.
