I think she is probably quite affectionate and loving, just perhaps not in the verbal "no YOU'RE the sweetest" kind of way =) At least not very often. I think she's more the type to show her love rather than verbalize it. Yeah I don't really get why there's a debate at all (aside from Galeniss shippers wanting it to have turned out differently) because canon makes it pretty clear that she chooses Peeta in CF, ending the never-really-got-started triangle before the second book is over. But to people in Panem who saw Peeta go crazy in the Capitol I can imagine things might look a bit different. Then again many probably thought Katniss went crazy too when she shot Coin, and we never really find out how much publicity Katniss friendship with Gale ended up getting. Still, it's an interesting angle I think, to look at Everlark and possible issues they might have post-war =) Well thank you for reading and commenting =)
