    Great chapter and rather beautiful I must say, and I love the Daenerys musings about how the faith of the seven is nothing but hypocrisy and meant to empower those in power i.e men, and how she doesn't seem to like the cult of the Mekar. Since I greatly dislike both the Faith of the Seven and the Cult of the Mekar, it really is a shame Maegor didn't get to weaken the Seven even further and weaken the Citadel, cruel he may have been but no one can say he didn't try to eliminate the enemies of his family. I firmly believe that the Faith and the Citadel and all the Lord's and ladies they used where behind the "Dance of the Dragons" they couldn't kill grown dragons so they turned them on each other and then killed of all the vulnerable baby dragons.

      Well, outside Baelor, none of House Targaryen really has had much use for religion. Sure, they acceded to some of its tenants to keep the peace, but in general, they never really cared about the Gods. So the North's Old Gods would kinda appeal to Dany. Its not an active religious organization the way the Cult of the Maker, the Faith of the Seven, or the Temple of the Lord of Light are. Its a private, quiet, in the background kinda of religion, that doesnt get involved in politics or telling people how to live their lives.

        Aww Bealor that crazy fanatic, I consider him and Areon bright flame to be the only two Targaryens to be born mad in their own ways. All the others seemed have been broken by traumatic events in their life or by paranoia but then again we all have our limits or breaking point where we just snapped.

        But yeah your right about the way some would consider the old gods. Active religions like the Cult and the Faith have far too much power for my taste. Even in our world religion has just as much power as the government if not more so because they tell you how to live how to think both in public and private in some ways you could say they have total power over the people. But then again that's religion its power it's a way to control people always has been always will be.

        Anyway I'm looking forward to your next chapter can't wait for the two to get married and see what their new home is going to be like.
