Lapsang souchong is delicious. My favorite tea. But once at my old job, someone was making it, and someone else pulled the fire alarm because the scent was unfamiliar and disturbing.
Haha, I have potent and unpleasant memories of the LS my father would occasionally insist on drinking after dinner... but I was nine, and it was Twinings, and I have come to realize in the intervening years that I might actually quite enjoy the real thing. (I do love Russuan Caravan blends, and that involves a smoked black tea.) but it does have its detractors... And I like the idea that Sherlock wouldn't let his own distaste keep him from including it in his tea-egg experiments, flavor-based though they are.
I may put "finally try some real Lapsang Souchong" on the new years' list, though....
