    I hope that Ned, not to urge Jon to go to the wall, telling Jon how honorable that group is, if he wants a son there to send Rickon.
    I have always thought that Ned did not love Jon very much, he tolerated him, but like the religious people even today, he felt like a child of sin, that he should be purged, that better than with a life of service,
    Besides, it is obvious that Ned loves Robert more.

    1. I’ll agree to disagree with you. I think Ned loved Jon dearly, but that love was so mixed with sadness, regret, secrecies, and maybe even a touch of resentment. He was dedicated to protecting Jon to the point that it trumpeted anything else.

      Ned also loves Robert, to the point that he willingly blinds himself to the man’s flaws.
