Comment on Looks Like We're Out of Snacks

  1. Naturally, I'm staying silent on which Blade is in the core crystal for now. Also, don't worry, Rex is a good boy who has many hugs to come. Eventually. Same with Nia.

Also, I'm really glad you liked that last scene, I agonized over making it for longer than I care to admit. Though I guess maybe a lot of writers do that?

Anyways, thanks for commenting again! It gives me insight and plot bunnies aplenty.

    1. So... Canon Blade or no?

It is a crystal from Azurda, the only titan who is an actual person. One might expect someone unusual to be born of him.

      1. That's a very good point, and I like the way your mind is thinking.

At the very least I can say that it's not a 1 to 2 star wind knuckle common blade. As comically ironic as that might be for the cannon Driver of the Aegis to end up with a common Blade, this story isn't really meant to be focused entirely on comedy. Regardless, for now, I'm staying silent on the matter.

Look forward to the answer within the week, barring any more unexpected delays on my end. (I'd meant to have the next chapter out already, but life finds a way to get in the way.)

        1. Allow me to speculate further. Not expecting an answer outside of the next chapter.

Azurda is the only Titan I can recall who uses fire breath instead of Ether beams. Ergo: Blade Azurda is likely fire elemental.

Titan Azurda does not use Ether beams to attack, ergo he will not likely be an Ether Cannon or something like it.

Azurda taught Rex his sword techniques, ergo Blade Azurda could be a sword using Blade because sword combat data is present.

On the other hand, this moves him dangerous close to being cut-rate Pyra.

So ... going to leave my guess as Fire Elemental, definitely not an Ether Cannon or variant thereof, and probably a two-handed melee weapon.
