    Yay it's finally up! I can already tell this story will be quite the journey and I'm strapped the fuck in for it!

    I really enjoy Varric's running commentary amidst all the madness, like calling Cassandra a Walking Storm Cloud and the stuff about the Divine spending a pile of golf on Haven. You're a natural at capturing his voice, and all the scenes move forward rather seamlessly. The descriptions also do such a great job in setting the tone and showing how horrible the conclave was; the passage starting, "These were red, and raw, like figurines sculpted from the remains of a bonfire. The faces were gone, so reading expressions wasn’t possible, but some had teeth yet in their silently screaming mouth" is particularly chilling.

    I think I know which Grey Warden Carver art you mention in your chapter note, and if I'm right, I anticipate Sad Things. The character death tag is certainly foreboding as well.
