Comment on The Past Remains

  1. This is great! I really love the genuine dynamic you've created around Padawan Nataya's feelings of love, duty, and anxiety about her Master and how much that is echoed in Obi-Wan, and how he can relate to her so gently, and put aside his own conflicted feeling on his past to give her what she needs. Everyone in this feels the weight of the galaxy on their shoulders, from Padawan Nataya to Obi-Wan to the Council, and they're all trying their very best and worrying it's not enough :(

I'm very curious and apprehensive to hear about the deliberate times Qui-Gon hurt Obi-Wan and why Obi-Wan still seems to not really want to acknowledge it as a crime against him. I wonder what if anything Anakin knows about all this. I wonder what conclusions Cody is going to come to about it all, and what the clones will think of it. I just hope Obi-Wan eventually gets those hugs he needs.

PS Of course Obi-Wan and Cody have come up with paperwork to make sure the men get to stay together. Oh man.

    1. Oh, thank you! Glad you like it so far.

Yeah, Obi-wan, if asked would agree Qui-Gon hurting him was a crime, but then would immediately say that it doesn't matter because it was all a long time ago and Qui-Gon has passed on. Really, Qui-Gon died before Obi-Wan had a chance to come to terms with it all, so everything is unresolved for him.

Anakin knows absolutely nothing at present. Obi-Wan wanted him protected.
