the characterizations were important to me. in a different fandom i've done some stuff for, a lot of my focus has been on characterization and "voice", where i've worked hard to get the unique dialogue tone of each character down, and inject some of that into their POV so you can really 'feel' the differences between the characters. the winchesters present a really unique challenge in terms of that because as a family, the have so many similarities in how they communicate, while all still being distinct. so it means a lot to me to hear that the characterizations ring true, since i had to use different methods to really understand their POVs, and work hard to make sure each of them were as in-character as i could make them, without bleeding too much into one another or losing any complexity.
