Sorry for the late reply! Clarification: Mari was adopted by Gabriel. Felix is Gabriel's son. They are adopted siblings. It would just be weird if they were real siblings.
I would also recomend reading Renagades, althought my fanfic isn't similar to it except for the dead parents, and girl!villan x boy!hero things.
