I don't think I said specifically that he quit, but I used the term 'leave.' I honestly never even thought of a sabbatical as an option, or I would have been more clear. Thanks for pointing that out! Also, I love it that you love the bits of Xal thrown into this series. It's always nice to get positive feedback on an original character.
