God I always fucking hated how Hermoine has no concept of personal property or the right to privacy. It’s like she believes that just because somebody randomly called her “the brightest witch of our age” (which I doubt btw, there are bound to be people much farther ahead and more knowledgeable than she is since her worldview is narrow and dictated by textbooks only) that she is entitled to know all the world’s secrets. Its honestly sickening how she is almost never called out on it
Out of curiosity, can you name some examples in the books of Hermione having "no concept of personal property or the right to privacy"? Because while I've seen it a lot in fanfiction, the closest I can remember in the books is her barging into Harry and Ron's dorm room (which, while it could be problematic, isn't exactly private, since it's shared). I'm not doubting that it happens, I just would like to have canon examples to refer to and don't want to have to re-read all seven books to find them.
