    Awesome! More to read!!! Also, Japanese is hard to learn, and it only gets more difficult when the same words start taking on more complex forms, the many conjugations of a verb are staggering, and don’t even get me started on Kanji! But! I loved learning and using hiragana and katakana. Anyway, hope you’re doing well, I’m sad but also super excited. Something I planned to do over the summer just got cancelled but now I can get a Kitten!!! I’m so excited for a kitten!

      Yeah, I have Duolingo lol, it's hard to stay consistent though (I haven't been on ADHD medication in years and it SHOWS). Still, it's cool! I think the nerd in me just wants to be able to watch anime without subtitles, haha! So I'm guessing you speak/write it? That's super neat! :D

      OMGoodness you got your own Chat Noir (lolol jk). Congrats! My husband and I have a 1 year old Golden Retriever named Enoch! He's precious. I love cats, but I'm more of a dog person. I think if I ever got a cat, I'd deliberately get a black cat, because I heard they're not adopted often and some people do horrible things to them (superstitious)...I'M certainly not superstitious so I'd like to get one(: I'd name it either Adrien, Noir, or Binx (nerd power!)

        I’ve been drawn to the black cats but I have my heart set on a Bengal cat, they’re so pretty! Haven’t gotten one yet but I’m looking!!! I only studied Japanese for three terms in college but it was one hour everyday and wow it was intense. I’m not proficient by any means and I totally did it so I could understand anime better. Definitely funny to realize how much people leave out in translation. Like, I’m playing the app The Seven Deadly Sins Grand Cross game and all the video parts are spoken in Japanese and the subtitles do not say everything. That’s probably attesting to all the kids who could be playing because there is surprisingly little blood as well. I mean, one character is immortal so they basically just beat him bloody constantly in the show but they only show blood in the game if they absolutely have to.

        Also, another note on black cats, has it never occurred to anyone that they could be absorbing bad luck and releasing on people who they don’t like or don’t care about? Going by that vein, it would be in your best interest to have a black cat that loves you dearly. Food for thought.

          I looked them up, super cute!! Yeah, I didn't have to take a language in college, but I'm also an underachiever who miraculously (pun intended) got really good grades, so I wasn't really looking to take a hard language (I got a Bachelors in Biology, but somehow bio just makes sense to me). That's neat though, you have a better insight into the shows and the intended lines! The censoring is kinda ridiculous sometimes, I think. Can't we all just agree that some shows are not meant for children and let it cater to the intended audience? *shrugs* That's just my thought. Also, heard of the show, but haven't watched it yet! My brother says it's good though.

          Interesting thought(: That's the sort of thing I'd be entertained to put into a plot line on a story, because that sounds like SO much fun to expand on, but alas, like I said, I'm not superstitious (I'm Christian-not religious, but relationship-so that lends to my perspective). Inevitably, I look at them and wonder about the genes that code for black fur (freaking bio nerd) and then imagine all the fantastical things you can create a story out of (also a fantasy nerd). I mean, I do think there are supernatural entities (I'm not going to get into that) but I just don't get why people swear that a black cat is going to curse them or give them bad luck. Meh, to each their own, just don't hurt the kitties!! T^T

          On a side note, I would be so down to have superpowers. No joke, that would be badass!

            You should totally check the MLB story Emergence by artisticFlutter if you haven’t run into it by now, as a bio nerd it might interest you, IDK, but it is basically mad scientists find out that Adrien and Marinette have genes that predispose them to have the powers of destruction and creation so they kidnap them and do mad science things. It’s also a No Miraculous AU so, cool things. It’s also from early season one so some things might be out-of-date in the lore and canon but it’s great.

            Another MLB fic is “ if i had a wish (i'd wish for more of this) “ by Bronte, super good and finished if you’re interested.

            Have you seen the movie Suicide Squad? I saw someone attempt a character insert with that and putting the MLB characters in the Suicide Squad plot but they didn’t diverge from the original plot and the writing fell through, I’ve been toying with the idea thoug and imagining what it would be like if Marinette were the Joker and Adrien was Harley Quinn. It seems almost fitting, in a warped, backwards twisted character sort of way. I’ve been trying to start it but I’m stuck on two different reasons for why the world is the way it is. Let me know if you want to know more and I’ll run it by you.

              I looked at it and added it to my Marked for Later. It's weird, because I get so emotionally invested in stories that, when terrible things happen, I can almost feel a physical pain and devolve into a mental/emotional depression... I can handle bad things happening, there just needs to be comfort after the hurt and I'm partial to happy endings. So that series, as interesting as it sounds, may take me a little bit to get to (gotta be in a good emotional state to approach it).

              Funny enough, I've been toying with a one-shot plot line that goes pretty dark and explicit, but I'll always have a happy ending and justice WILL be served. We'll see if that happens or not.

              Added the second one as well! Loving the lore people are adding!

              I haven't. Huh, I've never thought of that. That's certainly an undertaking; because you would indeed need to reconfigure and warp both character's personalities on a grander scale in some ways, but I'd say if it's something that keeps bouncing around in your head, give it a go!! :D As far as explaining the world, I'd say approach it as an alternate universe sort of feel; start off with the setting and characters exactly as you've envisioned them and slowly explain how that came to pass, whether that be from circumstances that drew them in or as an established origin. You can change their backstories to fit the direction you're going with the fic, too.
              I don't think I'd be much help, considering I've not watched the movie, *feels ashamed at her uselessness* but I'd say just start writing it on your free time, editing as you go and once you have at least a few chapters going and you like it, start uploading it! Or do the inverse and upload it early and ask for suggestions from readers. Don't get discouraged! Go for it! *sending you fellow author support in the form of shining rays of light* What's the worst that could happen? It doesn't work out? BUT WHAT IF IT DOES WORK OUT into something wonderful?!?!! :D Or you could get another amazing idea while you're doing it and start that! YOUR POTENTIAL IS LIMITLESS!!!
