    For what it's worth, writing it also hurt my heart... I'm not quite sure where it came from, but this little diddy dropped into my brain basically fully fleshed out, and it felt nice to catch the lightning in the bottle, even if it's a total bummer.

    Barry is charismatic and charming and he can be a lot of fun to write, but sometimes I see him as the flip side, the popular kid as seen from the eyes of the outcast I guess. That's how he turned out in this story, and it'll be soothing to go back to the charm train for SO.

    I wanted to get the "Bear-bear" in somewhere, and oh god is it ever cutesy :P

    Never any worries about any delays! I had all of these grand plans to be productive, and that hasn't happened, AND this little heart dart came into being instead.
