   I mean the ship between Lief and Dain is gooood. And there's no reason why we can't imagine either (1) angst for Lief once the twist happens, or (2) Dain converting to Lief's side instead

      Both true! Lief has plenty of angst anyway (well, not that we see much of it after RTD) and I was actually going to write a fic about Dain defying the Shadow Lord somehow.
