    Rarity is saying you are worth more than being only 1/4th of some one's life. Even if everyone is immortal, 24 hours a day is still 24 hours to be spent.

    First of all, an unequal relationship is an unhealthy relationship.

    Second, if you think being neglected while your parents and sister focus on their work is bad, how much worse would it be to only be 25% (or 33% or 50%) of a person's focus? Oh, that person has their own interests outside of just their relationships? Their own hobbies and interests they want to spend the on? Cut that percentage down some more.
