That said, John really does hilariously fail at not getting into the worst possible situations. It's like trouble seeks him out or like he seeks trouble himself. Possibly both. Probably both. The fact that Karkat has more sense than him in virtually all of my fics just says something sad about this lad's ability to Not Die.
