Ooh, yes, so I battled over whether or not to make all of the omegas nonverbal, but I settled on it being slightly uncommon but not at all rare. I'm thinking that in the grand scheme of this universes omega population, about 28% of omegas are nonverbal, or can't speak.
Now, nonverbal is a bit of a spectrum in this fic. My idea was that the omega in the poster was on the middle to lower end of the spectrum. She knows written communication(which varies in commonality among omegas), and she can use a particular kind of sign language for a few words and her own name.
Anyways, I have this whole elaborate idea of how omegas integrated in society(or "domesticated") that includes how they communicate and it gets pretty detailed. After I finish the upcoming chapter I'm going to focus on releasing my worldbuilding/sociology work so I can go more in depth with the lore of this universe.
