This is a fantastic chapter. The buildup is fantastic - I could *feel* Mick’s stress, and damn, does he care about Len. <3 And then his ‘does not compute’ about Len being AFAB was perfectly in character without him expressing a single moment of transphobia. You handled it brilliantly - shifting the ‘does not compute’ reaction to the concept of Leah, not Len. The way Len reacts, and describes his situation, is also spot-on and I love them both.
Len’s how I see me, and you…” He raises his eyes to the sky. For a second, Mick thinks he’s gonna collapse again; then he sees the shine of tears along Len’s lower lashes. “You never knew Leah. You’re the first person to just see me.” 🥺❤️
