    Also, I like the kinda changed dinamics in this with Tulio and Miguel not-really-maybe caring about Altivo. And the fact they can say "bye" any time now.

      I mean, Miguel was the one who jumped overboard for Altivo in the movie. And fondly refers to him as 'old boy.' As a water horse himself he's been capable of communicating with Altivo here. He's grown quite fond of the old boy - horse-like beings have to stick together and all that (in the same vague, unreliable degree all fae feel ephemeral attachments for.)

      Tulio, whose POV we've been seeing more of, has no such scruples about the stupid horse.

      Woof, did some more dynamics change here. Chel's more on edge than usual with them. Tannabok was too anxious to really ask the questions that set up the eruption in the movie. Tzekel-Kan is a bit too rattled up to try sidling close as he would have. Hell, most of their offerings in Manoa the first night usually have a stronger swell of faith and hope to go along with a more positive reception. In this universe our idiots are mostly glutting themselves on the fear they've always fed on because the city is still subconsciously creeped out by them.

      ...And that teeny, tiny bit of hope that's gonna worm its way inside. Humanity is stubborn like that ; )
