      h/w is one of the inspirations and such obviously!! (or i wouldn’t be writing a boring old canon au multi-chap) but i’d like to think a lot of the fic is also by my own hands y’know :)

        i didn’t mean to make it seem like you completely took heat waves and made it karlnap so i apologize if i made it seem that way!!

        i can definitely see it as your own work and i’m not saying that they are at all the same! it’s just the dreams and the way they both seemed to be swallowed by this affection really reminded me of it !

          it’s ok!! i wasn’t offended at all aha /srs

          just keep in mind a lot of writers don’t like their work being compared to ‘heat waves standard’ or ‘wannabe heat waves’ (mine was, in a way, inspired by heat waves, so it doesn’t quite bother me, but ofc i don’t want it to be seen as a direct copy paste per see)

          obviously kota’s work is fantastic; i don’t actually think that my work even remotely touches her level of characterisation. i do prefer if it’s not compared to h/w, because all i took was its base concept (dreaming about the other), which has been done in many many ffs :)!! /nm
