    A rendition of the Clawed Girl from They Bleed Pixels, in a style almost entirely derivative of Rich Burlew's. My own work.

    That's a fascinating question, and I do not yet have a Watsonian answer for the context of this story.

    I'm inclined, but not committed, to some kind of neurobabble handwave about neurological developmental factors – making sure she at least has sufficient socialization for her brain to be acceptably functional.

      It's actually the first time I asked myself that, because this, obviously, concerns canon as well, and thus all non-AU fics. Your idea here is viable (I sense some Ritsuko's pressure here), and a start for a possible explanation.

      Maybe gendo also enrolled her to school so people wont ask too many questions, or be suspicious of her
