  1. Egads, I feel so late getting to this. These last few days have been rough, but I'm here! Lol :)

I love the thought of John being the unruly teenager, and that Hosea wants to take them both hunting. It's just sweet seeing Hosea be a good dad :). Dutch is focused on money and escaping to the west, and Hosea is all 'nope, we need supplies, and John needs new stuff cause he's growing'. He's far too good...

Esp when he jumps in and cuts Dutch off once he starts asking about Isaac. He's got good intuition!

Though I have a funny feeling about those two fellas that Dutch has been playing poker with. Something seems fishy, and I'm suspecting that will come back later.

Love that Arthur still has Copper. I suspect that Isaac and Copper will become good friends given time.

And Annabelle, I love how you have a backstory on her! There's so much we don't know. I like how she's more well read, like Dutch, and that they have a common ground there :)

Dutch is sort of a jerk though, he's clearly avoiding the issue at hand, and hasn't even checked in on Arthur...I wonder how long that's gonna be before they butt heads. And I'm suspecting that John is going to stir up trouble, and he'll prb side with Dutch on the matter as well. I can only imagine those two..

But Hosea is still the best dad ever. Looking after Arthur, letting John know he's there for him, getting after Dutch...he's far too good for any of them...I love it :)

    1. Do I write rdr2 fic just to have a more involved, dad Hosea? It is one reason haha! That, and to fix things that broke my heart.

Copper is a new addition to the gang at the moment. I think Hosea mentions in the fishing mission with Arthur and Dutch that they had Copper pretty long, because about a year before the game when they were in Montana, Copper ate a bunch of fish Hosea caught. Going off the idea that dogs live 10-12 years, Copper is very much in his puppy prime at the moment.

Also, I love that we get to come up with our own backstories for Annabelle, even if it's a little terrifying to build and insert a character knowing only that Dutch loved her. At least I can start Isaac and Eliza with a little more information, however minimal it is. I definitely knew I wanted her on the same intellectual level as Dutch, but also have a different perspective. So I let my imagination run from there!

And we'll get to Dutch, and John. I'm actually working on a later chapter focused on John right now, trying to maintain a bit of a lead on the posting so I can have a little more time to think on chapters and edit them.

Thanks for reading!!! I hope the rest of this week goes better for you!

      1. Same!

Hosea is just too wonderful to overlook, and he needs more screentime, dammit. And if I HAVE to write it...then I will.

But I love reading about it as well :)
