   This was so good I can’t wait to read the rest. It was very insightful, places where you diverged from canon made sense and even add onto the original scenes. And Mai’s yearning is so strong. You got her voice down really well and I know mai can be a difficult character to write. Really looking forward for more.

      It's funny, I actually find Mai a surprisingly easy character to write, at least when it's from her POV.

      (A sardonic lesbian with a stifling family life and a conflicted sense of desire vs. duty who closes herself off in order to hide her own emotional vulnerability? lol can't possibly relate :P )
