    oooh, I like this idea a lot and I agree with the other commenters that this would be a cool story to continue! I wonder how this would change Peeta's hijacked state and Katniss' response to him.

    "If it's any consolation, he broke me, too" - I could absolutely see Katniss admitting this aloud when she thinks Peeta can't listen. little does she know people can sometimes still hear when they're comatose ;)

      This is a story where I have some vague concepts of where I could take it. I took a prompt from the EFE this year that I want to use to write part two. Wish me luck that I can get to it because I liked this myself. I have a hard time with writing canon divergent or cannon compliant stories myself because there are so many great ones already, and I find it a little intimidating, honestly. Sorry, I'm late in replying to this, but thank you so much for taking the time to comment. It means a lot.
