    Hey, great start. Ned stark preferred Baratheon over his blood from time to time. If I have a sister half of in nature of Arya and lyanna then I will conclude she may kill the kidnapper or kill herself but ned stark believed his brother that he wants and he doesn't have a better life to Jon and allowed him to join watch without knowing the truth so that he cannot become a threat to Robert and he even doesn't know the jon if he said about his mother and ask him to join watch he immediately may have joined to protect his family. Maybe we can think he wants to protect his family for a small price in the name of Jon but he stood for Stannis Baratheon even though his family in the claws of the lannister. See time to time he proved that he hates Jon or his sister

      Everyone says that honourable but I don't see him as honourable. Every writer says he sacrificed so much but I see none. First chance he got deal of making his daughter queen he accepted. To make Robert again brother without knowing the prince. I thought he may learn a lesson from his sister fate. He raised his daughter to become naive, maybe to become like him. By looking outside don't get the complete picture of a person. I am happy that he died as a traitor and in a position that he cannot save his family
