      Oh, it's just an example of double standard language. For example: a toddler boy may be described as 'high-spirited,' whereas a toddler girl is 'hyper.' Sugar and spice and everything nice, versus frogs and snails and puppy dog's tails.

      In this particular setting, omegas who are able to exert their will and their personality on others were historically called 'influential' rather than 'dominant,' even though that is, essentially, dominant behavior... because only alphas could be considered 'dominant.' It's no longer the case in most situations, but language tics persists...
