Comment on The Pallbearers

  1. A picture of a landscape at night. The sky is clear and filled with hundreds of small white dots on a backdrop of blue fading to purple downwards on the sky. There is the silhouette of a mountain over it and in front is a blue shiny river in an oval.

Oh my goodness this was a perfect ending to my evening and this scene was so realistic and beautiful, just wow.
The fact that Neville gave the speech made it seem so full circle and I just loved how this was written.

    1. OMG are you ready my Harry Potter fic now???

I'm glad you liked this. I'd needed a missing moment like this for years, ever since the last book came out...
I'm especially happy that you liked Neville's role. He's grown up so much, and I thought that it was asking far too much of Harry to say anything, so Neville would stand in for him like he stood in for him at Hogwarts all through year 7. :-)

YESSSS!!!!!!! I may or may not have been looking through your works and found that you write HARRY POTTER TOO!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
I was very excited as Harry Potter is probably the first fandom I read fanfic for so its nice to be back, (even though I normally read drarry stuff lmao) I could not resist something from you and my my was it worth it!
I think the whole bond between Harry and Neville was never appreciated enough as they were bonded on a weird but homely way. I'm proud of Neville.

        1. LOL I discovered fanfic through HP, too. Er, 20 years ago...
My HP stuff here on AO3 is obviously newer. My older stuff is on ff.net. I used to be a terrible Marauder girl (the Black in my username is for Sirius...) but I’m much more of a Snape girl now.
I admit that I prefer writing and thinking about the adult characters rather than the kids. But I see the appeal of Drarry. Wonderfully dysfunctional.

Omg I would have never guessed that's where black came from! I'm a big fan of the marauders too!
I avoid ff.net for my own safety tbh, dangerous stories there.....
That makes sense you like the adults more but I am a sucker for the wonderfully dysfunctional like you said!

            1. Ff.net is crap and I no longer post there, but if you want to read my Sirius-centric stuff, I'm afraid you'll have to go there. Here are the links, just so you don't have to stumble around and need your eyes bleached after:
