    I was reading this story and was so excited to see where this was going to go in the assumed sequel, but now that I’m at the end I’ve realized that there probably won’t be a sequel (TwT). It looks like the last chapter was supposed to be a one-shot, and the author accidentally turned her background inspiration into a full work. Needles to say I’m incredibly upset and outraged that I’ve been operating under this assumption and I have no idea how to recover from being this blindsided. If I’m completely wrong I’ll celebrate but I don’t think I am. Anyways it was such a joy to read and I’m glad I chanced upon this.

        Have you read “A Brother to Basilisks” by Lomonaaeren? I’m pretty sure it was mentioned in this story at one point. I was hesitant bc the author said it was slow build, but it’s finished at this point and I think the pace is done really well. Maybe it just felt slow to the author since they usually write one shots. Also the author mentioned a story they were writing were Petunia was able to cast minor spells and Harry and Hermione were like siblings, but I couldn’t find it in their profile. Did they take it down or did they never post it in the first place, do you know?

          Like many many other works of mine including the sequels which I am working on, the story with Petunia slammed to a halt when I got back to Hogwarts. Not been able to write more than a few paragraphs in years.

          As to the sequel I have scenes, outlines, research notes. But nothing I can post. I'm working on it but...The Venom Peddler took 3 years to write.

            Ahhh that is so wonderful to hear that you have been working on the sequel! I mean, this story was truly amazing all in its own, but I would looove to see more Pirate Harry taking on the world. And I can’t wait to see where all the little foreshadowing and hints lead to!             I really appreciate the three years you spent writing this. It's a delight to read and I've bookmarked it to reread over and over. If you ever get to a sequel, I will squeal for joy.
