Comment on I want it, can't have it.

  1. I agree that young Guardians would golf each other off the hill of their ships with Supers. Creative ways to die as well are always a good addition to Destiny fic, such as Shin having experienced depressurization. I'm reminded of something Jon Goff said about why we'll never see Shin in game, because he "belongs on the fringes and this isn't his story," which means Wolf has to catch him up on what's going on, as well as him having no friends lol. Does he not consider the other decoy Dredgens friends? You definitely made the decision he doesn't get along with his Ghost, (who I was always pretty sure was a she but I don't think that matters here) so I guess he really is this weird friendless feral bum half living out of Wolf's jumpship lmao

    1. an Awoken Hunter cheerfully looking up

He's mildly abreast of major things that have happened in Wolf's story.

Considering he's the one who killed all the fake Dredgens I can't imagine he's friends with the new ones. Which is hilarious considering one of the "friends" I force on him lol

My interpretation is that bc Shin was alive when he was given the Light he's got different baggage that other Guardians don't. Especially about his Ghost, who doesn't always agree with how or why he does things. They used to be very close but other the centuries as Shin just was kinda a dirt bag Renegade those disagreements grew into animosity and contempt. Their relationship has changed very dramatically from the first story to what I'm currently writing because of.... things that have happened and things Shin plans on doing lol

      1. All makes sense (though by decoy Dredgens I meant the ones who were "in on it" with him but that's neither here nor there). I'm interested to see what it is he plans to do that's so divisive between them.
