Ahhh, im having to use google translate, so i hope im answering this correctly. Ive looked into it, and having prolonged eye contact in some indigenous cultures can be seen as rude or invasive. Its also seen as eyes are the windows into the soul, so can be maybe taken as intrusive. For this story, eye contact is alright after getting to know the person, an understanding of what relationship you have. Sansa, of course, doesnt really understand why, but is taking it further because she doesnt want to anger anyone from her lack of understanding. But, because of cultural differences, shes not used to a lack of eye contact and slips up, which they sorta are understanding because they know she was raised differently. I hope that all makes sense.
