Comment on Smiling Out of Fear

  1. I know you're winding down on Pick it all up which I can't wait to finish so finding this story in my inbox was a nice surprise! The boys as BOYS is always a fun read. I like how you've brought in our favorite characters to fill in the adult rolls. Missouri is brilliant as the foster mom. You had me worried for awhile about Cas setting someone on fire but when I found out it was in defense of an animal I totally understood why he would do it. To torture an animal is one of the most reprehensible things anyone could do and setting them on fire sounds OK to me. I like that you have already set Dean up as a caretaker. He sees Cas in need of saving and he steps right in to "fix" the problem. I hope Missouri keeps an eye on Uriel and Raph as they seem the type to want payback. You've left a lot of questions that need answering in the first chapter but I know as you develop the story you will answer them all. Can't wait for more!

    1. I know, I totally did not mean to have this posted so early but there you have it...I couldn't resist. I really wanted a teenage-AU because I've only found a couple that I really enjoyed, and I had some pretty quality ideas after some consideration haha. Yeah, as usual, poor Cas has a rough history and Dean has a rough present, which will become more evident later. A lot of the plot will start more when they start school together -- I can't wait to introduce Charlie. She's gonna be Dean's best friend and also invites Cas to join the school's GSA like 2.5 seconds after meeting him. No one's gaydar is more keen than Charlie's.
