    Hehehe, I like Tony's backstory in this fic because what he's running from / doing is certainly interesting and all that, but I think it also pales in comparison to the more interesting things and other people's backstories that come up over the course of the fic... I realise that was cryptic, but perhaps we can revisit near the end and I can explain myself better 😅

    As for Quentin, he is of course one of my favourite characters precisely because his manipulation and deceit is fun in canon 😌 but I'll be the first to admit this might be one of the more straight-forward Quentin's I've written.

    You're right that MJ said she hopes Tony isn't a spy, but Peter (likely) thinks he is, and she hasn't said her own thoughts on the matter yet. Peter and MJ, as we'll find out, have lots of good reason to be cautious of other people (and the fact that he won't lie is actually a source of frustration for Peter, but more on that later 😅
